Springbok Solar Power Plant Achieves COD – First C&I IPP Milestone

Revego is proud to announce that the Springbok Solar Power Plant, a 150 MW solar photovoltaic facility in South Africa’s Free State province, achieved Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 2 September 2025.

This milestone is a game-changer for Revego as our first Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Independent Power Producer (IPP) project, signaling the start of a new era in private power generation.

Springbok will supply clean energy to a portfolio of leading offtakers, including Amazon, Sibanye Stillwater, AB InBev, Vodacom, Sasol, Rio Tinto, Afrimat and Redefine, demonstrating the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions from global and local corporates.

Developed in partnership with SOLA Group, this project reinforces our commitment to accelerating South Africa’s energy transition and delivering impactful infrastructure investments.
